Fort Kent World Cup

The Fort Kent Organizing Committee is pleased to welcome NBA Great Scottie Pippen to the E. ON IBU World Cup games in Fort Kent.

Fort Kent is situated on the northern border of Maine, in the St. John River Valley. The town and the valley have a small town atmosphere full of fun-loving, hard-working people who have embraced the sport of biathlon.  The St. John Valley is characterized by rolling hills, farmland, lakes and rivers. Wildlife is abundant in the region and consists of such animals as moose, black bear, white tailed deer and various smaller animals.

The area is well known for its ideal winter conditions for various outdoor sports and its proximity to millions of acres of forestland, lakes, and rivers. Popular winter sports include alpine and Nordic skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and ice-fishing, while summer and fall sports include hunting, fishing, boating, canoeing, and biking.
