Barn Tours

A region built on an agricultural economy, many of Northern Maine’s historic barns still stand today and often open their doors for public tours. From one of the first structures erected at the Swedish Colony, to the barns that currently produce some of the nation’s favorite maple syrup, there is much to see and even more to learn by visiting the area’s barns.

Don’t forget to visit the Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum for a real taste of what farming life was like in the early days of Northern Maine.
